A National Nutrition Month Giveaway!

As a new RD I feel obligated to let you know that March is indeed National Nutrition Month (although I believe every month should be focused on Nutrition) and that today is Registered Dietitian Day. Yay!!!

Here's a couple more things I want to tell you:
  • Weight stigma is not ok. No discrimination is ok, and currently more people are discriminated based on their weight than their race. Let's do something about it. Read what I have to say on Marci RD's blog
  • breaks down how to make a quick, healthy weeknight meal. Fantastic how-to for us busy ones!

  • Because the Irish lass in me knows it's a sin not to celebrate St Patrick's Day-I highly recommend you read this post on how to avoid a holiday hangover. You'll thank me come Sunday.

Snacks are a GREAT time for great nutrition. There are lots of nutritious options, but my favorite go-to healthy snack is hummus and veggie dippers :)

I love to just pack a piece of fruit, its like nature put it in its own package.

I have a really weird but nutritious snack - I love cut up carrots and celery... dipped in frank's hot sauce. It reminds me of wings, but I really just love the taste, not as much the chicken, so I get the best of it with none of the unhealthy bits!

Favorite nutritonal snack would have to be greek yogurt and fruit! Or just a big bowl of strawberries! Great post today!

Healthy snacks are the best, sometimes better than a meal. Apple slices with hummus is a favorite. I am crazy about Larabar's too.
